Supporting Businesses
What is a Supporting Business and what do they do?
A Supporting Business is a business that helps us help supporters show their continued support to our wounded soldiers. They do this by using the items we supply them to set up an area in their business where supporters can purchase Wounded Soldier Support Pins for $1.00 each and fill out the Support Message Cards. At the end of each month, the Supporting Business mails HSF the funds received for the Wounded Soldier Support Pins, as well as the completed Support Message Cards in a HSF-addressed envelope. Once we receive the envelope, we will supply the Supporting Business
with more Wounded Soldier Support Pins and Support Message Cards,
as well as more HSF business cards, another HSF-addressed envelope,
and a check to reimburse the shipping costs.
What is supplied to a Supporting Business?
Each Supporting Business will be supplied with
50 Wounded Soldier Support Pins that they will sell for $1.00 each to supporters and 50 Support Message Cards for supporters to write their names and personal support messages onto. Also supplied are four display holders, HSF business cards, a pen, a sign that states their business is a Supporting Business of Hero Support Flags, and a HSF-addressed envelope.
How long does a Supporting Business have to help?
A Supporting Business can help for as long as they wish. If they
decide to continue, we will supply them with more items each month
when we receive the HSF-addressed envelope. If they decide to discontinue, they need to mail all remaining Wounded Soldier Support Pins,
Support Message Cards, and all other items supplied. Shipping costs
will be reimbursed after all items are returned.
What happens if a Supporting Business runs out of items
before the end of the month?
If a Supporting Business should run out of items before the end of the month, they can email us at HSF@herosupportflags.com for more.
How do Supporters know where to find a Supporting Business?
For as long as they decide to help, each Supporting Business is advertised
on our website as a Supporting Business. Their business’s name, address, phone number, and a link to their business's website will be placed on our “Purchase At One Of Our Supporting Businesses” subpage located in the “How To Purchase A Wounded Soldier Support Pin” page on our website. Also, each year a page will be designed on our website to list the
Supporting Businesses that participated in helping for that year.
They will be listed in order using the number of supporters they
helped, beginning with the Supporting Business with the most as
number one. The list will be updated monthly throughout the year to
update the number of supporters each Supporting Business helped to date.
Does a Supporting Business receive anything for helping?
At the end of the year, each Supporting Business will receive a
Certificate of Appreciation that states the total number of supporters
they helped show their continued support for that year. We hope the Supporting Businesses will proudly display the Certificates so others can recognize them for their aid in supporting our wounded soldiers.
